MoMedia signs licensing deal for Pocoyo

MoMedia, the digital distributor and VoD content management company today announces a deal with Spanish producer Zinkia Entertainment to distribute the first two series of hit Spanish pre school animated TV series ‘Pocoyo’ on transactional digital streaming platforms.

‘Pocoyo’ is a Zinkia Entertainment production, a Spanish producer and creator of entertainment brands with a global scope. The animation follows the adventures of a three-year-old boy and his animal friends with the narrator usually speaking directly to the viewers and characters. English actor and author Stephen Fry narrates the English language version.

The series has been sold to 150 broadcasters around the world, including Nick Jr in the US, CITV in the UK and Discovery Kids in Latin America.

Pocoyo’ is a multi-award winning production having been honoured with an Annecy Cristal, a BAFTA, a Parent’s Choice Award in US, a CICDAF in China and Silver Award for the best Foreign Animation Show in the Shanghai Television Festival.

To support the deal, MoMedia will build upon the brand with a social media marketing campaign and promotional activity in conjunction with Zinkia.
